Aberdeen Man Killed In Accident in Hoke

An Aberdeen man driving a pickup truck died after striking a recreational vehicle on N.C. 211 Saturday.

Jesus Lopez Reyes, 26, died on the way to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital after the wreck that happened around 7 a.m., according to a spokesperson for the State Highway Patrol. Troopers believe that Reyes may have fallen asleep and drifted across the center lane, striking the RV on the driver's side. Four people were in the RV, but no injuries were reported.

The wreck occurred in Hoke County, just past the Moore County line.

Reyes was the only occupant of the 1996 Dodge.

The accident is still under investigation.
