Searches Lead to Drug Arrests

Moore County sheriff's deputies searched two houses in the Lobelia area and arrested five suspects Wednesday after finding crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and a rifle.

Bryant Eros Shields, 24; Terrence Dalmarcus Hancock, 34; Mustafa Omar Hart, 27; James Patrick Shields, 38; and Whitney Lasha Harrington, 17, all face numerous charges related to the searches conducted by the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit and select enforcement unit, according to a press release.

Officers searched houses at 536 J Burns Road and 141 Shields Lane and seized 65 grams of crack cocaine, 31 dosage units of crack cocaine, 55 grams of marijuana, a .22-caliber rifle, drug paraphernalia, $1,533 in cash and 19 pills, including Hydrocodone, Vicodin, Percocet and Klonopin. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $6,500.

Bryant Shields is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony trafficking in opium, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hancock is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.

Bryant Shields and Hancock both lived at the house on Shields Lane, and both were jailed under $250,000 bonds, according to the release.

Hart is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine.

He lives at 197 John Hart St. in Hoffman. He was jailed with bond set at $250,000.

James Shields is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed under a $260,000 bond.

Harrington is charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was jailed with bail set at $25,000.

James Shields and Harrington lived at the house on J Burns Road, according to the release.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the State Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation.
