Searches Yield Drugs, Five Arrests

A search of two houses in the Lobelia area of Moore County Wednesday yielded crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and a rifle, resulting in the arrest of five individuals.
Bryant Eros Shields, 24; Terrence Dalmarcus Hancock, 34; Mustafa Omar Hart, 27; James Patrick Shields, 38; and Whitney Lasha Harrington, 17, all face numerous charges related to the searches conducted by the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit and select enforcement unit, according to a press release.
During the searches of the houses located at 536 J Burns Road and 141 Shields Lane, officers located and seized approximately 65 grams of crack cocaine, 31 dosage units of crack cocaine, 55 grams of marijuana, a .22 caliber rifle, drug paraphernalia, $1,533 and 19 pills, including Hydrocodone, Vicodin, Percocet and Klonopin. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $6,500.
Bryant Shields is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony trafficking in opium, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hancock is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
Bryant Shields' and Hancock's address was listed at 141 J Shields Lane, and both were jailed under $250,000 bail, according to the release.
Hart is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine.
He lives at 197 John Hart Street in Hoffman. He was jailed and his bail set at $250,000.
James Shields is charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony conspiracy to sell or deliver cocaine, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed and his bail set at $260,000.
Harrington is charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana , misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was jailed and her bail set at $25,000.
James Shields' and Harrington's address was listed as 536 J Burns Road, according to the release.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation.
