Nine jurors -- four men and five women -- have been chosen in the trial of Bobby Lynn Chavis. He is charged with the first degree murder of his wife, Audrey Stevens Chavis. Jury selection resumed this week following the weekend and a snow day. Three seats remain to be filled in the jury box with two alternates yet to be selected.

Chavis is accused of killing his wife by beating her with a baseball bat while she slept, then smothering her with a pillow until she died. The defendant faces a possible death sentence if convicted for the July 26, 2006, murder.
