The Knights of Columbus Council No. 11103, from Sacred Heart Church, Pinehurst, held its annual basketball free throw contest on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Pinehurst Elementary School gym.

The contest was open to girls and boys ages 10-14.

The District winners in the girls' division were: age group 10 , Caroline Rea; age group 11, Makalya Howery; age group 12, Makayla Swinnie; age group 14, Antonia Meyers. There were no girls in age group 13.

District winners in the boys' division were: age group 10, Paul Adkins; age group 11, Justin Marks; age group 12, Caelan Kohort; age group 13, Mike Tzavlas; age group 14, Zach Marks.

The District winners will be eligible to participate in the next level of competition in North Carolina at a place and time to be determined.
