Western Harnett won the batte for first place in the Cape Fear Valley Conference Friday.
The Eagles' girls basketball team remained unbeaten with a 64-53 home win over Union Pines.
The Vikings missed their first eight shots and trailed 14-4 after the first quarter. They never recovered.
Western Harnett (17-0, 7-0) pushed the lead to 35-19 at half, thanks to Tierra Coleman and Ariel Bursey, who combined for 18 first-half points.
Coleman finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Bursey added 10, nine assists and seven rebounds.
Trailing 59-30, the Vikings scored 23 of the game's final 28 points. Guard Tyesha McLean and Alishia Mosley each scored 19 points to lead Union Pines.
The Vikings (12-4, 6-1) host South Johnston at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
