Elizabeth LeCroy Groover, 89, of Pinehurst, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Mrs. Groover was born Sept. 25, 1919, in Marietta, Ga., a daughter of the late John Thomas and Alma Kate Hood LeCroy. She was the wife of Dr. Edward L. Groover. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower garden.

Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at East Cobb Methodist Church, Marietta, Ga., directed by Powell Funeral Home, Southern Pines.

Burial: Campground Cemetery.

Survivors: two daughters, Gail Miller, of Pinehurst, and Karen Page, of Charlotte; a son, Larkin Groover, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; a sister, Johnnie Lassiter, of Marietta, Ga., and two granddaughters.
