POLICE BRIEFS: Taylortown Police File Charges on S.P. Man

A Southern Pines man arrested last week on several drug charges is facing additional charges that date back to 2007.
Charles Junior Spencer, 29, of 195 Cox Street, was charged by Taylortown police Sunday with felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and resisting a public officer.
The Taylortown charges are from June 9, 2007. His bail was set at $6,000 on those additional charges.
Last week, Spencer was arrested along with four other suspects by the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit during a search of a house near the Zion's Grove Community.
He was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, and other orders for arrest for failure to appear in court on driving charges and child support.
His bail was set at $100,459 on those charges. Spencer is being held in the Moore County jail.
Break-In: A break-in and a larceny of a house near Vass resulted in the arrest of two suspects over the course of two weeks.
Tim Cooper, 33, of 211 McLeod St., Vass, was arrested Feb. 4 and charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property, according to a release from the Moore County Sheriff's Office. His bail was set at $2,500.
Last Saturday, Tammy Banks, 41, of 179 Chestnut St., Cameron, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen property.
She was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Both arrests were related to a break-in of the residence Jan. 14, according to the press release.
