A Visit to Senior Center Reveals Fine Program

A friend and I recently stopped in at the Senior Enrichment Center on U.S. 15-501. We were warmly greeted by a receptionist (and I understand the receptionists are volunteers) who asked if we might like a tour. Of course, we were there out of curiosity, so we accepted the invitation.

In just a few short minutes, a delightful young lady appeared and introduced herself as Terri Prots, director of the center. What a lovely young woman! She spent a good deal of time taking us through the entire building and explaining what happened in each room and what was available to us.

She took us through all the offices where her staff was working and introduced us to each of them and told us what their jobs were at the center. You could just feel the pride she had for her building and the love she has for seniors.

It was an awesome experience, and we have since been oriented into the fitness program and certainly will take advantage of many of the other programs offered at the center.

If you are a senior and have not visited the facility, I strongly recommend you see for yourself. It is a delightful experience, and the staff, especially Prots, are to be commended.
