Sue Reaves, of Bill Reaves Construction, was recently installed as the 2009 president of the Moore County Home Builders Association (MCHBA) at the Legacy Lakes Clubhouse in Aberdeen.

Reaves, a well-respected and sought-after builder in the area, is the first woman elected to lead the organization.

The association is excited to have someone with Reaves' background and expertise leading their organization, a spokesman said. Under her direction, MCHBA will galvanize its mission of helping the community, as well as enhancing its members' ability to provide safe, affordable, quality housing to the citizens of Moore County, a news release said.

MCHBA's executive officers and the Board of Directors also were installed during the weekend ceremony. The Executive Committee members installed include President-elect Jarrett Deerwester, of Stover Homes; Vice President Yates Hussey, of Yates Hussey Construction; Treasurer Debbie Fox, of BB&T; Secretary Pam, Felix of Southeast Stone; and Immediate Past President Pat Falvey, of Falvey Homes.

New members of the Board of Directors installed were John Pandich, of Pandich Construction; Mark Stewart, of Stewart Construction Co.; and Thomas Craven of Craven Land Development.

They join the current board members who were sworn in for an additional term: Bill Huckabee, Huckabee Construction; Wayne Haddock, Pinehurst Homes; Clayton Evans, First Pioneer Insurance; Tommy McCaskill, McCaskill Construction Co.; and Tom Panek, Dream Home Design.

Ray Rhodes, 2008 president of the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA), and Mike Carpenter, executive vice president of the NCHBA, conducted the installations.
