Less Than Sparkling

Last week the Republicans in the House of Representatives voted "no" on a gigantic expenditure program titled a "stimulus bill." Thank your lucky stars they did! Anyone who can add two and two and still get four knows the bill is a fraud.
The proposed spending allocations would do little to stimulate job growth or jump-start the economy. It is not a stimulus package but a naked attempt to promote the leftist social agenda together with political payoffs.
The Pilot's Feb. 1 editorial, in a typical liberal knee-jerk reaction, criticized and blamed the Republicans for their lack of bipartisanship. What a laugh! Such comments are typical of many liberals who have taken the rewriting of history in their favor to an art form.
The editorial arrows should be aimed at President Obama for endorsing this phony bill, created by Nancy Pelosi, politically speaking the most dangerous woman in America. The Democrats in the Congress and Obama espouse bipartisanship, but in reality, it's their way or the highway!
The Republicans were not allowed to participate in the bill's development, and their input is still summarily rejected.
Additionally, I would suggest that the local letter writer who was going to celebrate the election and open a bottle of champagne, should wait and put the screw cap back on the bottle, because to date Obama's performance has been less than sparkling!
