Lakeland Terrier CH Hi Kel Terrydal Solider of Forture (Ranger), co-owned by Beth and Carol Dowd, of Pinehurst, Ceil Ruggles, of Connecticut, and Terrydale Kennels, won Best in Breed in the Fox Terrier (Wire) category earlier today (Monday) at the 133rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show being held in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Ranger will compete in the terrier group tonight, which air live from 8 to 9 p.m. on USA Network and from 9 to 11 p.m. on CNBC.

Also competing tonight after taking a Best in Breed in Bichons Frises will be Bischon CH Gemstone Spoiled to Perfection, otherwise known as "Pixie," co-owned by the Dowds, Ceil Ruggles, and Jewel Elias. Pixie competes in the non-sporting group.

There will be a second day of competition tomorrow.
