The Sunrise Theater just wrapped up the eighth annual Raising the Roof fundraising concert on Saturday, and we are pleased to report that the show was a great success for the theater.

The Sunrise is a not-for-profit organization, which depends on community support to remain vital, and is dedicated to providing a wide variety of entertainment opportunities for citizens of all ages.

Even in this trying economic environment, the SunEvents sponsors and patrons really came through, and the sold-out show helped to raise some much-needed capital for the theater.

The Sunrise Preservation Group board of trustees, SunEvents committee, and SunFlix committee all work hard to make the Sunrise Theater Moore County's premier venue for live music, theater and film. Without assistance from sponsors, patrons and volunteers alike, that work would be futile.

Thanks to everyone who attended the show, all of our gracious sponsors who donated funds and many great raffle prizes, the entire "Raising the Roof" volunteer staff -- and, of course, all the wonderful performers who made the eighth installment of "Raising the Roof" such an enjoyable and memorable event.
