On Jan. 10, my wife and I attended "A Night at the Copacabana." This production was a joint effort by the Pinecrest High School drama and culinary students.

What an outstanding evening, offering all those in attendance a wonderful six-course dinner, as well as terrific entertainment, with great singing, beautiful costumes and a smooth rapport throughout the evening, in the beautiful cabaret setting of the Pinehurst Fair Barn!

Dramatic arts instructor Adam Faw, and culinary arts instructor Chef Steven Knopfke, deserve kudos for helping their students achieve their "night of glory." The many hours spent in planning the menu, preparing the food, presenting the meals, rehearsing the show, working on stage sets, developing costumes and numerous other details that are required for a show and meal of this caliber, were very well spent.

The guests loved every minute of it -- a fantastic evening!
