Ruby Skipper Richardson, 90, of Aberdeen, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Richardson was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Horry County, S.C., to the late Tallie and Mattie Ann Skipper.

A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon, with a funeral service starting at noon Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Turning Point Worship Center on U.S. 15-501 in Hoke County, with the Rev. Stoney Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on S.C. 378 just out of Conway, S.C.

Mrs Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Richardson.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy and wife, Janice, of Fairview; Ray and wife, Dixie, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jerry and wife, Sheree, of Aberdeen; daughters, Connie Prior and husband, Ron, of Lutz, Fla., Peggy Smith, of Aberdeen, and Debbie White and husband, Tony, of Aberdeen; her sisters, Grace Lewis and Kate Ravord, both of Charlestown, S.C., Willie Ann Calhoun, of Conway, S.C., and Betty Jo Causey, of Satsuma, Fla., 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
