At this religious time of year, I am reminded of a passage from the Old Testament. Jews, Christians and Muslims alike revere the Old Testament. The first of the Ten Commandments says, "I am the Lord, thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me." There may be many translations of this, but the idea is identical.

Does it seem to anyone else that President Obama, House Speaker Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Reid are seeking to make the Federal Government a god, or maybe more than a god? Do they seek to take away the freedom of the people and substitute government care?

God gave people free will. Would they seek to rob the people of it?
