As a part of the "Heritage Highlights and Literary Lessons" series, Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives will now accept reservations for its opening program, "Twilight Cruise on Lake Pinehurst."

Guests will cruise around Lake Pinehurst and enjoy spectacular views along with a brief history of the lake.

"They will also learn about what the natives would do for fun to cool off in the hot summer months," says a spokesman.

Cool beverages, wine, cheese and other special treats will be served, and guests will meet at a beautiful home on the lake before their departure.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to host the very first of these events, and we had a lot of fun researching the historical aspects of the tour," says host Dr. Mike Sanders.

"It's a terrific opportunity to have fun, learn something new, and support a great cause," says co-host Jay Clatworthy.
