Kit Sisk Grady has released illustrations in a new children's picture book, "Hamster Holidays," by Cynthia Reeg.

A troupe of hamsters celebrate a year of hare-brained holidays in their unique hamster style. The book highlights nouns and adjectives on each page, as well as exploring opposites. Activity pages include scrambled words, match-up and crossword puzzles -- plus much more. Grammar becomes fun and games with hamster helpers. The book, published by Guardian Angel Publishing, is appropriate for ages 4 to 10.

Grady is a Moore county native, living with her husband, Daniel, and son, Joey, in Southern Pines. She studied art at Virginia Commonwealth University and later studied under Caldecott winners, Uri Shulevitz and Gale Haley.

Grady is best known for her bright colors and expressive animals. When not drawing, she visits classrooms in Moore County Schools.

This is her seventh book. Visit www.kitgrady.com for more information. Her books are available at The Country Bookshop in Southern Pines and online at www.Amazon.com.
