Resist Those Labels

Please explain to me, an independent-thinking American citizen, why I shouldn't be offended by liberals and the press calling me a "right-wing extremist" for voicing my opinions at town hall meetings.

It seems the Democrats believe in the First Amendment only when it benefits them. For example, where was the coverage and "labeling" when liberals protested the Iraqi War by marching at the funerals of slain American soldiers -- what class! Or when Democrats mocked and labeled President Bush as a Hitler-like Nazi?

I guess it's OK to march and protest our government's policies if they are opposed by those on the "left," but if you have a different point of view you are labeled as "part of an organized and angry mob" or a "Nazi"!

I'll be attending every public forum available, and I'm not part of any organized group or mob. I'm just an American citizen who will be exercising my rights.

It's amazing for me to watch the media and press "coverup" for Obama every time he's caught in a lie, which is nearly a weekly occurrence.

He loves to say, "Let me be clear on this," which is merely an indicator that he's preparing to tell another lie. Examples, you say? Let's start with no lobbyists in his administration, or stating that by passing his stimulus bill, unemployment would not go above 8 percent, or that the "police acted stupidly" by arresting his professor buddy at Harvard. If that had been Bush, he'd have been blasted for his own stupidity, ignorance and racist attitude!

Citizens are not just stirred up over the recent health-care debate. Here's a news flash -- we've had enough of this president and Congress thinking they know better what's best for its citizens.
