Anthony Ralph DeNauro, 86, of Pinehurst, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Jody Devito); his son, Ronald (Sharon), Ocean Shores, Wash.; daughters, Laurene Stern (John), Los Angeles, Calif., and Dorothy (Dottie) DeMeyer, Sodus, N.Y.; grandchildren, Matthew and Mitchell DeMeyer, Angela McCarty, Joshua, Mike and Samantha Stern; great-granddaughter, Hailey DeMeyer; sister, Bernice Miller, Selkirk, N.Y.

Tony was a great sports enthusiast, enjoying golf, racquetball, hunting and fishing. He was a true Yankees fan. David DeMeyer, his son-in-law, and Tony were avid hunters, and owned a hunting lodge on 185 acres in Angelica, N.Y.

The family requests memorial donations to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 175 E. Connecticut Ave., Southern Pines, NC 28387.
