Pinecrest will meet five different teams under the format of Wednesday morning's first football scrimmage to be held at the Patriot practice field complex.

The action gets under way at 9 a.m. on three 50-yard layouts. Each scrimmage will include 10 offensive and 10 defensive plays for varsity players and six offensive and defensive repetitions for junior varsity players. Each series begins from the 40-yard line. If a team does not make a first down in four plays, the ball is moved back to the 40.

The other participating teams are Jack Britt, Douglas Byrd, Marlboro (SC), South Johnston and Knightdale. Field A is located near the softball field. Field B is next to the baseball field and Field C is adjacent to the tennis courts.

The schedule is as follows: Session 1 (A) Pinecrest vs. Marlboro, (B) Byrd vs. Britt, (C) South Johnston vs. Knightdale; Session 2 (A) Pinecrest vs. Knightdale, (B) Byrd vs. South Johnston, (C) Britt vs. Marlboro; Session 3 (A) Pinecrest vs. Britt, (B) Byrd vs. Knightdale, (C) South Johnston vs. Marlboro; Session 4 (A) Pinecrest vs. South Johnston, (B) Byrd vs. Marlboro, (C) Knightdale vs. Britt; Session 5 (A) Pinecrest vs. Byrd, (B) Marlboro vs. Knightdale, (C) South Johnston vs. Britt.
