The most successful season in North Moore girls' soccer continued Monday night.
The Mustangs tied a school mark for wins, earning their 10th of the season with a 2-0 blanking of West Montgomery.
Jazmin Medina broke the scoreless tie with 17 minutes remaining in the first half when she took a centering pass from Chloe Donaldson and beat the Warrior keeper.
Then, with 18:30 left in the second half, North Moore struck again. Whitney Morgan took a deep throw-in to Donaldson. Donaldson headed the ball backward to Sara Landsdowne at the far post. Landsdowne got the ball to Medina, who scored her second goal of the night. Medina had a chance for the hat trick with time winding down only to miss kick the ball from five yards out.
"We played better in the second half than we did in the first," said Mustang head coach James Horwath. "One thing that's definitely true about this team is they don't give up a lot of quality shots and they find ways to win."
North Moore is 10-2-1 overall (8-0-0 conference).
Wednesday is a key game for the 12th-ranked (state 1-A poll) Mustangs. They play away at eighth-ranked Jordan-Matthews.
