Moore County joined 83 other North Carolina counties in seeing its unemployment rate drop for the month of March.

But the county still posted an unemployment rate slightly over 10 percent (10.2 percent). The county was one of 40 that had a rate under the state's average of 10.9 for the month of March.

The county's unemployment rate in February was 11 percent.

The county has 37,249 people in the labor force, with 33,462 of them having jobs, leaving 3,787 unemployed.
