Opera Carolina, one of the original cARTwheels partner companies, will perform the 2009 cARTwheels production of Rossini's comic "The Barber of Seville" at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, April 27, in Southern Pines at Pinecrest High School, R.E. Lee Auditorium.

This cARTwheels performance will be performed for more than 1,000 students. This special, 50-minute version will be sung in English and stars Opera Carolina resident artists Jenny Chen ("The Marriage of Figaro," 2009) as Rosina; Daniel Ross Hinson ("The Marriage of Figaro," 2009) as Count Almaviva; Steven Jepson ("The Pirates of Penzance," 2007) as Figaro; Dan Boye ("Amahl and the Night Visitors," 2007) as Dr. Bartolo; Stephanie Foley Davis as Berta, and William Roberts as Don Basilio.
