Friends of the Postmaster's House will hold the annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, on the grounds of the historic house at 204 E. South Street, in downtown Aberdeen.

All proceeds go to preserve and renovate the home (circa 1880) of the first postmaster in Aberdeen.

The house is available to groups and families for rental for reunions, meetings, weddings and events.

Plants will be provided by Aberdeen Florist and Garden Center, and will include annuals, vegetables, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, geraniums, zinnias and coleus.

Tag Sale

The O'Neal School Parents' Association will hold its third annual tag sale Saturday, April 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the dining commons of Bradshaw Hall at The O'Neal School, 3300 Airport Road, Southern Pines.

Several special items, including a piano, have been donated by O'Neal parents for this fundraising event.

All proceeds are to benefit The O'Neal School.

After the sale any unsold merchandise will be donated to the Sandhills Coalition for Human Care.

Lions Yard Sale

The Pinehurst Lions Club will hold its annual yard sale Saturday, April 25, at 35 Community Road from 8 a.m. to noon.

The proceeds will benefit the many Lions projects especially helping the blind, visually and hearing impaired.

A large variety of items will be available for sale including hand and yard tools, refrigerator, furniture, plus a lot of "good junk."

Chinese Auction

The Sandhills Coalition for Human Care will hold a

fun-filled evening of food, drink and the opportunity to mingle with fellow volunteers and win some great items at a Chinese auction for its volunteers and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church Parish Hall, Southern Pines.

Admission is $5 and includes 10 auction tickets.

Light cuisine, tea and water are included in the admission. There will be a $1 wine and beer cash bar, and additional auction tickets will be on sale throughout the evening.

The spring plant sale will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, April 28, at Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities.

This event will include perennials, shrubs, and herbs available at bargain prices.
