Daniel Adams was elected a senior life director of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at its recent International Builder's Show Board of Directors meeting in Las Vegas.

Bob Nielsen, NAHB third vice chairman, thanked Adams for his loyalty to the group.

"I know the commitment it requires to attain and participate at NAHB board meetings for the 10 years required to achieve the life director status," Nielsen said. "Then to attain senior life director status through an additional 10 years of service is a great testimony to your dedication to NAHB and the building industry."

As a senior life director, Adams has attained a permanent seat on the board with no continuing attendance requirement.

Adams joined the Moore County Home Builders Association in 1978. He served as president of the association in 1988 and was president of the North Carolina Home Builders Association in 2000.

He has attended every NAHB International Builders Expo since becoming a member in 1978.

He is also a NAHB certified master builder and certified green builder, and is an accredited builder through the Graduated Builder Institute of the NCHBA.

Adams is also a NCHBA BuildPac trustee, is a member of the President's Circle and has received several other NCHBA designations.
