Conscientious Actions?

We Americans are indeed fortunate to have such a conscientious Congress to spring immediately into action, passing unconstitutional legislation to show those greedy AIG employees that they weren't going to get those $165 million in bonuses that were approved by the White House, the Treasury and the Congress in their $900 billion "stimulus" package.

The people are also gratified that Congress expressed its outrage by ranting and raving at Mr. Libby, who took over AIG for $1 per year after the bailout. We are sure he took their castigations to heart.

We know Congress had the American people and America's best interest at heart by passing its "stimulus" bill with evident haste, even though not one of them had the time to read it. Though some may consider this haste reckless, we must constantly be reminded that these perilous times call for quick and decisive action regardless of the consequences.

After all, Chicken Little has made it perfectly clear, the sky is falling, the sky is falling.

The focus on AIG has had the added benefit of deflecting the public's attention from Congress' culpability in this whole episode and diverting the American people's concern from the socialist agenda being pushed by the "Anointed One."

We await with bated breath the further glowing reports from the media on the selfless, benevolent actions taken on our behalf by our representatives at the Funny Farm.
