Milton Richard Shaver, 66, of Vass, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A. Shaver; sons, Richard R. Shaver, of Vass, and Tracy K. Gross, of Shelbyville, Ind.; brother, Charles Shaver, of Newark, N.J.; sisters, Beverly Shead and Joan Swarrow, both of Edisonville, N.J., and four grandchildren.
