Lunneys Celebrate 65th Anniversary

Charles and Letitia Lunney celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Friday, April 17, 2009. They were married in Kenmore, N.Y., on April 17, 1944, two days after his graduation and commission in U.S. Army Air Corps, World War II.
The Lunneys will celebrate in July at their summer home on Lake Ontario, N.Y., with all of their family members as well as friends and neighbors.
They have four children: Richard and his wife, Beth, of Huntersville; Timothy and his wife, Tracy, of Manlius, N.Y.; Christine and her husband, Howard, of Manlius, N.Y.; and Elizabeth and her husband, Peter, of Pittsford, N.Y.
They have nine grandchildren, Chuck, Margie, Kyle, Jamie, Trey, Sean, Sarah, Tommy and Matt, and four great-grandchildren, Mason, McKenzie, Calib and Cael.
Letitia, who was born on Oct. 29, 1919, graduated from Michigan State University and is a member of the National Society Colonial Dames, Daughters of American Revolution, Chi Omega, College Club and English-Speaking Union.
Chuck, who was born on May 21, 1919, graduated from Northwestern University and is a member of Whispering Pines Country Club, Pinehurst Country Club, Elms Country Club (New York) and English-Speaking Union.
