Charles Howard Romig, 71, of Pinehurst, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Romig was born May 26, 1937, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Edgar and Dorothy Romig. He was a member of the Army National Guard. He was also the past exalted ruler of Warren Elks Lodge No. 295. He was a graduate of Hiram College and Youngstown State University, where he earned a degree in business administration. Mr. Romig was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Flora Jane Romig, in 2007.

A funeral service will be held at Roberts Clark Memorial Home in Warren, Ohio, Friday April 24, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be private in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.

He is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Sollitto, of Warren, Ohio, and Janet Dato, of Tampa, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Barbara Summers and her husband, Dave, of Pinehurst; and many nieces and nephews.
