The waist-deep grass looks like the rough at a British Open venue. Good grief! We just spent millions building the new roadway. Can't someone hop on a mower and cut the grass?

Birdie: By Chris Dunn, the executive director for the Arts Council of Moore County, for spearheading the effort to create a four-day arts festival here in the Sandhills next spring. We are blessed with a vibrant arts community, and this proposed celebration will allow us to showcase it to the rest of North Carolina. Congrats to Chris and the rest of his steering committee for taking this exciting idea and running with it.
