Mary Zoe Cathcart, 66, of Fort Myers, Fla., passed away suddenly Saturday, April 11, 2009.
Mary was born May 22, 1942, in Newport News, Va., a daughter of Roy and Ollie Hunsucker. Mary grew up in Robbins and was a graduate of Elise High School. She was executive secretary to the vice president of Digital Corporation.
Mary had an avid interest in travel. She, her husband, and daughter traveled overseas on many occasions. They resided in California, North Carolina, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Texas, Massachusetts, Colorado, New York, and retired to Florida.
Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard G. Cathcart; her daughter, Angela H. Flanders, of Fort Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Ralph Hunsucker and wife, Shelby, of Seven Lakes, Jerry L. Hunsucker and wife, Carolyn, of Jacksonville, Fla.; her aunt, Bernice Hunsucker, of Robbins, whom Mary considered her best buddy; a sister-in-law, Gaynelle Davis, of Robbins; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held in Robbins at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Tabernacle Methodist Church. The Rev. Michael Nelson and Dr. Emmitt Carroll will officiate.
