CommunityONE Bank recently named J. Scott Kittrell as director of operations.
The bank also named Robin Howard as market pesident of the bank's offices in Montgomery, Moore, Richmond and Scotland counties.
Kittrell previously served as regional president for the bank's southern region. Howard most recently served as business banker for the bank's offices in Moore and Montgomery counties.
Kittrell, a resident of Pinehurst, received a bachelor's degree in both economics and business management from North Carolina State University and has 17 years of banking experience. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
In his new role, Kittrell will oversee the operations division of CommunityONE and will continue to serve as a senior vice president of the bank.
Howard, a native of Scotland County, has more than 25 years of banking experience and is a graduate of Pembroke State University. She has also completed various banking schools including the American Bankers Association's National Commercial Lending School.
She is also a graduate of the Moore County Leadership Institute and previously served as an ambassador with the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the board of the Rotary of Southern Pines Foundation.
Grant Welch continues to serve as market manager of the bank's offices in Moore County, including the newest office, which opened in Seven Lakes in January. Welch, a native of Chatham County, has more than 10 years of banking experience.
CommunityONE Bank is a subsidiary of FNB United Corp., and operates 45 offices in 38 communities throughout central, southern and western North Carolina. CommunityONE began as the First National Bank of Asheboro in 1907, and has experienced strong growth over the years both organically and by merger. The name was changed to CommunityONE in 2007.
