On behalf of the Stoneybrook Steeplechase and the board of directors of the Carolina Horse Park, I want to thank all of our supporters and volunteers in Moore County for the tremendous support shown to the Stoneybrook Steeplechase held on Saturday, April 4.
The excellent services provided by the Kiwanis of the Pines, the Southern Pines Rotary Club, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills made the day a huge success. Their outpouring of help with dozens of volunteers was an amazing effort. At the Carolina Horse Park, we know that the support of the community is what makes the races possible each year.
The Stoneybrook Steeplechase has been held in this area for more than 60 years, and to carry on this tradition at the Carolina Horse Park is a real honor. We look forward to many years of working closely with both Moore and Hoke counties to ensure that the Stoneybrook Steeplechase continues to be a good day of fun in the country for all of our surrounding communities.
Equestrian sports have long defined the Southern Pines area, and we are pleased to provide this unique annual showcase of fabulous steeplechase racing.
