A Cameron woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing a 7-week-old puppy, according to a press release.

Tonya M. Carver, 32, of 2203 Stanton Hill Road, Cameron, was arrested Monday by Moore County Sheriff's Department officers and charged with larceny. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

According to the release, a woman reported to the sheriff's office on Sunday that someone had stolen her puppy from her brother's house.
