Wolsun Kang Newcomer, 72, of Seven Lakes, passed away Friday, April 10, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday, April 13, at 1 p.m., at Seven Lakes Baptist Church. The family received friends Sunday, April 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes.

Mrs. Newcomer was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Jebagan, Japan, to the late Sung Sik Kang and Soon Yi Park. Mrs. Newcomer was the manager of Bob's Pizza in Seven Lakes. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Gillis.

Mrs. Newcomer is survived by her husband, Wayne E. Newcomer, of West End; two sons, Ronnie Newcomer and Ricky Newcomer, both of Clarksville, Tenn.; two sisters; Bok Sun Kang and Tae Sun Kang, both of Taegu, Korea; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
