Saturday, April 4, the Women of the Pines held its annual rummage sale at the old gymnasium in West End. We are grateful and appreciative to all who so graciously donated items for the sale; the response was overwhelming.

We also thank those who came out in support of this endeavor. It was a beautiful day, and our sale was a tremendous success.

For those who are not familiar with the Women of the Pines, we support the West End Fire and Rescue Squad, Pinehurst Fire and Rescue Squad, Friend-to-Friend Abused Women's Shelter, Coalition for the Homeless, Sandhills Community College, Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith Food Pantry and Hospice of the Sandhills.
