After special music from the choir, members of the church took communion, and the cross was draped in black to symbolize the darkness of the tomb that held the body of Christ until Easter morning.

Worship began at 8 a.m., with more than 150 in attendance. The choir helped to make this service very special by singing "Gone," which tells of the resurrection of Christ.
