The Canine Country Fair and Annual Dog Run will take place May 2, 2009, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sunninghill Farm, 1650 Youngs Rd. in Vass.

The 5K and 10K Run With Your Dog will start at 9 a.m. at Sunninghill Farm and course through the beautiful Walthour-Moss Foundation trails. Walkers are also welcome. For more information please contact Bobbie Mudge at 910-245-2444.

Other activities at the Canine Country Fair will include all-day Terrier Races, Costume Class, Best Trick, Biggest/Smallest Dog, and Games. There will also be demonstrations of agility, obedience, utility, retrieving, sheep dog herding, and police dog skills.

All proceeds from the events will go to the Companion Animal Clinic Foundation (CAC), a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization, in support of the Spay and Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills. All donations to CAC are tax-deductible.
