Mustangs Blank S. Davidson

Chloe Donaldson scored three goals and Michelle Gallagher added her first of the year, as the North Moore soccer team remained unbeaten in the Yadkin Valley Conference with a 5-0 win over South Davidson Thursday.

Jazmin Medina scored her fourth goal of the season as the Mustangs (7-2-1) tallied four times in the second half to salt away their fifth conference victory.

Whitney Morgan (2) and Jani Davis added assists for the Mustangs.

Defensively the Mustangs were strong again, and goalie Hillary Walters set a school record for shutouts with six.

"We did a much better job of passing and communicating today," said head coach James Horwath. "Different players are stepping up their game each week. The team is really beginning to gel."

The Mustangs next game is April 20 at Chatham Central. They will also play at East Montgomery on April 22.
