"Reds...Whites...& 'Ques," a wine-tasting tour benefiting the American Red Cross Moore County Chapter will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15.
The event includes tours and tastings at Childress Vineyard and Raylen Vineyard, both in the Yadkin Valley area.
Transportation is provided by Kirk Tours with a light breakfast provided by Panera Bread. Lunch will be available for purchase at the Lexington Barbecue.

Safety Presentation
Retired law enforcement officer and Pinehurst resident, Henry Churchbourne, will present a one-hour program on personal and home safety at the Moore County Senior Enrichment Center at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16.
Mr. Churchbourne will discuss practical, and often common-sense, approaches to protect both oneself and one's home from being targets.

The Moore County Senior Enrichment Center is located at 8040 U.S. 15-501 (two miles north of the Pinehurst Traffic Circle).
Great Egg Hunt
Gospel Chapel Community Church Great Egg Hunt, Carthage Fair Grounds, Saturday, April 11, 11 a.m., with 5,000 eggs for kids (2-12 years old), games and activities, $1,000 Golden Egg (ages 2-99). Admission: canned food to help the needy.

The Country Bookshop, Southern Pines, hosts Todd Johnson, author of "The Sweet By and By," at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, as part of its Meet the Author series.

Raffle Benefits Habitat
Interested in going to the Carolina 200 Sunday, April 19, but can't afford the ticket? Here's a chance to win two passes for only $1.
Two public suite tickets were donated to Habitat for Humanity of the N.C. Sandhills with the intention of raffling them off to raise money for the organization.
Raffle tickets are available for $1 each, with the prize worth $200.
The public suite tickets include a VIP parking pass and a meal with nonalcoholic beverages. A cash bar will also be available.
Drawing will be held at the Habitat booth at 9 p.m. at Thunderfest Friday, April 17.
All proceeds from the raffle sale will go to build homes in Richmond County.
