Ida Bell Black, 85, of Aberdeen, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bethesda Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst Friday, April 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.
She was born June 9, 1923, in Moore County, to the late Pate and Lillian McDonald Black. Miss Black was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, the Upper Room Sunday School Class and Circle No. 4. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Daniel C. Black, formerly of Pinehurst, in 2003.
She is survived by her brother, Daniel P. and wife, Mary Lou Black, of Aberdeen; a niece, Patti Krombos Black; a grandnephew, Daniel R. Black; a grandniece, Kristin Elizabeth Black, all of Pinehurst.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 1002 North Sandhills Boulevard, Aberdeen, NC 28315.
Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst is serving the family.
