"Soft and Hard/Cloth and Clay" pairs the dynamic talents of two of the area's finest artisans, Scott Murkin and Donna Craven.
Their exhibition in the Sara Smith Self Gallery at the Moring Arts Center, 123 Sunset Avenue, in downtown Asheboro, runs from April 6-30.
Daily gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Scott Murkin is a nationally prominent quilter who is also a qualified quilting judge.
Donna Craven is a Seagrove area potter, whose strong senses of form, color, and patterning add up to a contemporary-traditional woodfired style.
The Sara Smith Self Gallery has just been thoroughly renovated to show better the form, texture and color of the artwork.
