A recent article in The Pilot (April 6) cautioning readers about a public service message titled "BBB Warns of Exploits on Stimulus Funds" sparked my curiosity.

I browsed to the Better Business Web link provided in the article. Finding the address for Government Grant Solutions, 450 Hill Drive #200, Mesquite, NV 89027 was a no-brainier for savvy computer junkies like me.

Google Earth provided an incredible street view of a strip mall known as an

out-parcel. Interesting enough, there is no Hill Drive, and the property is actually 170 and not 450. Anyone for Mexican food?

Those who have an enduring faith in God sometimes pause when we read, hear and see what is happening to our country and world. Scoundrels, shysters, murderers and evil that make Satan proud are taking front stage in our society, government and world.

The events of last week in our county and across our nation, bring into reality the presence and reality of evil.

We should express our appreciation to The Pilot for not only leading headlines with local front-page stories but also its concern for others who might be taken advantage of from those who emblazon evil deeds over the gift of life -- given freely to anyone who takes the time to ask for God's forgiveness.

I can find no better comfort than to join my brothers and sisters in worship on Sunday mornings sitting in a pew at Emmanuel Episcopal Church and listening to the word of God. Perhaps our world would be a better place to live if more churches or places of worship were full on Sunday mornings.

We wouldn't have to concern ourselves with scoundrels, shysters, murderers and evil.
