The Moore County Planning Board will conduct two conditional-use permit hearings, consider a road closure petition and study amendments to the flood damage and zoning ordinances at its meeting Thursday.

The board will convene at 6 p.m. in the historic courthouse in Carthage.

Eddie and Cheryl Douglas have applied for a conditional-use permit for a child-care facility at 268 Star Ridge Road near Carthage, and Colon Lewis has applied for a conditional-use permit to place an accessory dwelling unit on property on N.C. 24-27 at Eagle Springs. Quasi-judicial hearings will be heard on both applications.

Later in the meeting, the board will discuss endorsement of a project review team.
