Heather Lee Huot, of Pinehurst, and Scott Clawson, of Southern Pines, were married at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Valley of Fire in Las Vegas.

The couple hosted a reception at their home on March 28, 2009.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Laura Huot, of Pinehurst. She attended the University of Connecticut and received a bachelor's degree in psychology and criminal justice. She is currently employed at The Pantry in Sanford.

The groom is the son of Robert and Betty Clawson, of Morganton. He attended Catawba Valley Technical College and received a degree in turfgrass management and horticulture technology. He is currently the golf course superintendent at Seven Lakes Country Club.

The bride wore a strapless, satin trumpet dress featuring an elegant ruched bust with ornate beading on the empire waist. She carried a cascade bouquet of a dozen red roses.

Following a wedding trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, the couple reside in Pinehurst.
