The Pinecrest baseball team capped off a week that already included two no-hit victories with an encore performance at John Williams Field, Friday night.

With a brisk wind favoring the hitters, Andrew MacDonald, Jacob Gibson and Dillon Maples hit home runs back-to-back-to back, leading off the bottom of the second inning in the game against Seventy-First. After the next batter, Taylor McDonald, was hit by a pitch, Trent Fredericks smacked a two-run homer.

The Patriots hit safely 10 times and scored 10 runs in the frame on the way to a five-inning 18-0 victory. The last three runs came on the home team's fifth home run of the contest, a three-run blast by Patrick Moore in the bottom of the fourth inning.

A first-inning infield error provided the Falcons with their only base runner of the game against Patriot pitcher Taylor MacDonald. The senior struck out eight batters in matching his brother Andrew's no-hit performance against Jack Britt on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Dillon Maples and Joe Herbert pitched hitless ball in the Pats' 17-1 win over Westover. All three of the games were concluded in five innings under the mercy rule.

The Patriots recorded a total of 17 hits against the Falcons led by Moore with three, and Andrew MacDonald, Brian Smith, Maples and James Baldwin with two apiece.

Pinecrest takes a 10-1 overall and 6-1 mark in the Mid-Southeastern Conference into Tuesday's non-league game at Lumberton.
