Flynne's Coffee Bar and Downtown Gallery, in conjunction with Frank Pierce and A Southern Studio, is presenting an art opening for First Friday, April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the coffee bar located at 115 NE Broad Street in Southern Pines.
The show will run through the month of April. Represented are artists who have participated in classes at A Southern Studio. Artists include Jordan Baker, Burma Cardwell, Gwen Dumas, Sara Hendrix, Vicki Jolliff, Amy Smith, Doris Smith, Lois Pollard and Faye Terry.
Frank Pierce teaches oil painting technique for beginners and experienced artists alike. He has been a professional artist, illustrator and photographer for more than 40 years and has taught art since 1979. His classes are held at his studio, 275A NE Broad Street, Southern Pines.
"This is an opportunity to meet and mingle with local artists, view and purchase quality, local works of art while enjoying wine and hors d'oeuves," says a spokesman. "The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the opening."
