Congratulations are in order for local artist Betty Hendrix.
The Artist's Magazine's 2009 All-Media Online Competition had over 2,570 entries with an overall grand prize winner, first place and three honorable mention awards in each of seven categories.
Hendrix received an honorable mention for her colored pencil drawing, "Pie in the Sky," from the graphite, charcoal and colored pencil category.
"I feel thrilled to be chosen as one of 29 winners out of 2,570 entries," says Hendrix.
