Tessie S. Garner, 75, of Robbins, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Smyrna United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tal Madison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Garner was a native of Moore County and was a retired poultry farmer. Her husband, Roland Garner, preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughters, Bernice Presnell and husband, Fred, of Robbins, Lynn Brewer and husband, James, of Troy, and Melissa Thompson, and husband, David, of Robbins; sisters, Stella Spencer and Lois Moore, both of Asheboro; grandchildren, Christina Allison, of Robbins, Meredith Freeman, of Eagle Springs, Stefanie Brewer, of Troy, and Tyler Thompson, of Robbins; great-grandchildren, Bryson Freeman and Colton Freeman, both of Eagle Springs, and Justin Allison, of Robbins.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Kennedy Funeral Home, Robbins and other times at the home, 2080 Cedar Hill Road.
